Apple claims that iPhone and iPad users are the most up to date about the operating system. In contrast to many Android users are still using older versions of the operating system.
The claim is stated by Scott Forstall, Apple’s Senior Vice President for iOS in a presentation on the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) event in San Francisco, USA.
“80% of iPhone and iPad are already using iOS 5. While Android just 7% that already using the latest version of Android Ice Cream Sandwich in their smartphone and tablet,” — Forstall.
Apple claims that the way how they release a new OS update is better than Google. Android users have to wait for the new version from Google, then from the of cellphones or tablet vendors, and then wait from carriers in each area.
That is claimed by Apple make OS distribution so tortuous and slow. Unlike the iOS, user can instantly get the latest version without the lengthy process.
Even so in terms of security. Apple claims the iOS is much better than Android because can receive operating system improvements more quickly.
