Some Facebook users have reported that they saw new feature on Facebook which is Star Your Close Friends (star in a close friend). With this feature, Facebook users will more often see status update of their companions.

Star Your Close Friends Feature can be used easily. There is an area that appears at the top of the news feed, entitled Don’t Miss the Good Stuff. If the mouse pointed over the friend picture, an asterisk sign will be displayed, and if the image is clicked and the star will shine bright and a friend that clicked become close friends. After that the friend status update will appear more frequently.

Facebook say they’re trying to help users customize the appearance of the displayed status. This feature has just been launched for some users to help them classify a close friend in a separate list.

Facebook also provides a list of users who are likely to be a close friends, especially who have a lot of interaction with users. But, close friends also can be added by searching a friends. By introducing this feature, Facebook overcome two things that are not visible friend status and more easily to grouping a friends cause it will get into groups of Close Friends.
