Facebook New Timeline 2012 IPO

Shortly after Facebook opened to the public on Friday, they secretly begin to try a new Timeline design in profile for limited users.

The new design, contains some minor changes from previous designs that will facilitate the overall view, by shifting user name and other personal information to the cover photo and gives a kind of shadow effects to make it easier to read. This change also adds new tab below photo cover like photos, friends, map and a new tab called summary that displays a list of life events that users write on their profiles. In addition, the likes button renamed to favorites.

This change is not a big change, but this may a result of Facebook Hackathon event held last week before IPO. Also seen a new notification menu which also released quietly last week that allows users to control interfere applications.
