Chevrolet says that the Spark EV (Electric Vechile) will begin production early 2013. They also said that the car is still in tests at US General Motors right now. Chevrolet electric car is intended for those who only drive a short distance. Chevrolet Spark EV is not suitable for driving in the far distance.

This electric car is planned to be sold in some states only. One of them is California. California is the marketing target because the people in there prefer drive in short distance.

Regarding the power of the Chevrolet Spark EV, this Chevrolet electric car uses lithium-ion 300 cell battery. The battery has a 20kWh energy capacity and can be recharged in 8 hours.
